Industry

Industry is key to the success of the ERC. Our industrial members keep our research relevant, making sure it addresses real-life problems. They also have preferential rights to our IP, so that the results of our research is turned into products. Our members also hire our students and assist us in translational efforts resulting in significant impact on society, so together we plan to cross the so-called 'valley of death'.

We see ourselves as the long-range research arm of our industrial members, and we're looking to partner with them on a shorter-time basis through sponsored research synergistic with our core activities.

We're looking for members who can give input into our research projects, so they have expertise that maps well to our strategic plan highlighted in our 3-level diagram and are representative of the entire value chain of industries targeted by our applications.

In addition to industry, innovation partners play an important role. Innovation partners are organizations that are aligned with our goals of job creation and supporting entrepreneurship.
