Management Description

Director (Interim: John Wen): Overall vision and goals, strategic planning, center management

Executive Leadership Group: Coordination of center operation and resource allocation

Deans’ Council (Deans from core partners, RPI VPR): Overseer of center operation, ultimate dispute resolution

Scientific Advisory Board (Scientific leaders): Input on scientific merits of research projects and directions

Industrial Advisory Board (Industrial members): Input on research relevance to industry and commercialization potential

Academic Policy Board (ERC Director, campus directors, ED):Coordinating academic affairs between ERC & campuses

Student Leadership Council: Student input & liaison

Associate Directors (Steve Hersee, Tom Little): Resource allocation and project administration at core partner universities

Deputy Director (Interim: Arthur Sanderson): Operation and research coordination

Administrative Director (Diane Veros): Financial and information management, human resource

Industrial Collaboration Director (Silvia Mioc): industrial membership program, marketing, entrepreneurship

Education Director (Ken Connor): University, pre-college, outreach activities and assessment. Outreach Director (Don Millard).

Diversity Director (Linda Schadler): Diversity plan for leadership, faculty, staff, students

Technical Infrastructure Director (Morris Washington): Space planning and equipment acquisition and access

Systems Integration Committee (Academic: Arthur Sanderson and Partha Dutta, Industry: TBD): Coordination of testbed development and technology transfer. Monitoring and assessment of state of art in smart lighting applications.

Technical Leadership Team (testbed and thrust leaders:John Wen, Tom Little, Michael Shur, Mark Rea, Shawn Lin, Steve Hersee; SIC academic leads: Arthur Sanderson, Partha Dutta ): Project evaluation and oversight, recommendation on project selection and termination.
